With round one matches ending this weekend at the D.G. Hathiramani Sports Hall of the Accra Stadium, a special media challenge tournament for sports journalists covering the league would be staged alongside the main league.
A cracker between second placed Immigration, and third placed SmartLine@Emefs would climax the first round. The two glamourous teams battling for the second position have 40 points each and are therefore bent on dethroning leaders, Tesano Spinners, from the top spot.
Nigeria trio of Ajulo Gbenga, Favour Ayobame and Ayodele Sunday who have propelled SmartLine@Emefs to the third spot would be expected to turn the heat on the defending champions to sustain the competitive spirit of the league.
Incidentally, the champions who have three national best top seed Derek Abrefa, second seed Felix Lartey and Emmnanuel Commey, will not be push overs and are likely to prove their worth as the players to watch. The last time the two met Immigration edged SmartLine@Emefs 3-2 in the first leg, so SmartLine@Emefs are bent to revenge this time.
