Vincent Ekow Assafuah has clinched a second-term bid to represent the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Tafo-Pankrono Constituency as its Parliamentary Candidate for election 2024.
Mr Ekow Assafuah secured 367 votes, edging out his closest rival, Dr. Serwah Donkor, who garnered 337 votes out of the 710 votes cast with six rejected ballots.

This triumph marks Vincent's pursuit of a second term in Parliament, building on his debut appearance in the constituency's political landscape in 2020.
The election was fiercely contested, leaving delegates in suspense as they could not accurately predict the outcome. Even during the ballot paper sorting process, both agents for the contestants remained uncertain about the likely winner.
The tension broke after the counting of the ballot papers, with Vincent's agent expressing gratitude for the Tafo Astroturf. The supporters erupted into wild jubilation, celebrating the hard-fought win.
Vincent, reflecting on the intense campaign, revealed it was the most difficult in the history of the Ashanti region. Despite facing lies and propaganda, he asserted that the constituency's discerning voters recognised what was in their best interest, leading to the decision to retain him as the parliamentary candidate.
Dismissing claims that he failed to push for developmental projects for the area, Vincent emphasised that achievements were the foundation for his continued support. To express their joy and appreciation, Vincent and his supporters took to the streets of Tafo in jubilation, extending gratitude to those who entrusted him with the opportunity to represent the party.
