Tema-based hiplife artistes R2Bees and D'Cryme have expressed their excitement over their shows in the Netherlands and UK respectively. In separate interviews with Hitz FM, the artistes said they were full of excitement over their performances over the weekend. D'Cryme was on the Miss Ghana UK show in London. D’Cryme told Hitz FM he was really happy with the way the crowd responded to his music at the show, singing along during his performance and making a beautiful collaboration. He added that even though this was his first performance in the UK, he was surprised at the way the crowd was familiar with his songs. D’Cryme also took the opportunity to record songs with some UK artistes. While D’Cryme was thrilling his fans in the UK, R2Bees were also dishing out their brand of hiplife to fans in Holland. Pae Day, leader of R2Bees told Hitz FM that they were amazed at the response of both Ghanaians and non-Ghanaians who were at their shows. He indicated that even though their expectations were to perform for Ghanaian communities, they were humbled by the fact that their music was enjoyed not only by Ghanaians but by people of various nationalities. He added that while there, they recorded a couple of songs and music videos for release when they arrive in Ghana. They shot videos for songs such as Shake, a collaboration with Kill Beat, Radio from their Revolution 1 album and the Mixtape for Mugee’s dubbed I’m Done. The group will return to Ghana briefly before emplaning for Germany for the second phase of their European tour in October. Meanwhile ace hiplifer, Sarkodie, is also rocking fans in the United States.
