A private legal practitioner Christian Malm-Hesse is set to seek justice for the mother whose 10-year-old boy died at the Tema General Hospital in what is suspected to be a case of medical negligence.
Malm-Hesse wants an autopsy to be done first to ascertain the true cause of death even before a suit can be set in motion.
He was speaking to Joy News’ Daniel Dadzie on News Desk on Joy News on Multi TV, Thursday.
A ten-year-old boy died Sunday dawn after a 75mg Naklofen drug was administered to him by the mother under bizarre circumstances.
A doctor at the Tema General Hospital had prescribed a 50mg to the boy after he reported to the hospital with pains from an injury he sustained whilst playing football.
However, the Pharmacist gave the mother of the deceased person a 75mg Naklofen drug.
Not convinced by the change in milligrams, Mrs. Mabel Senahey returned to the same doctor to find out if she could administer the drug to her son, a request the doctor approved of.

Shortly after administering the drug, the ten year-old started complaining about complications.
He had hurt burns and started sweating all over.
According to the mother of the deceased she had to rush the boy to the hospital but to her surprise the nurses on duty will not be bothered.
Not even the shouts of pain will convince the nurses to attend to the boy.
It was only after he died that the doctor and the nurses came to attend to him but it was a little too late.
Mrs. Mabel Senahey is accusing hospital authorities of criminal negligence.
Director of hospital Dr Opoku Adusei said investigations will be conducted into the cause of death.
But Christian Malm-Hesse says he has been contacted to support the family to seek justice.
He said a number of tests will be conducted to ascertain whether the right procedures were adopted by hospital authorities.
