The Gadget Master, an electronics dealership and retail company through its charity initiative, Brighter Smile Foundation, has donated some relief items to the Remar Rehabilitation Centre in Pakro, a suburb of Nsawam in the Eastern Region.
The foundation presented bags of rice, packs of soft drinks, sanitary tissues and other home essentials to support the upkeep of children in the facility as its corporate social responsibility gesture.
Chief Executive Officer of The Gadget Master, Mr. Jerry Kofi, indicated that the donation was the company’s way of extending a helping hand to the inmates of the rehab center.
“The core aim of the foundation is to identify persons and places that need help and mobilize resources to support them as our way of giving back to society. This year, we chose Remar Ghana Village, which is a Christian rehabilitation center to share the little that we have with them,” he said.
Mr. Kofi was hopeful that the donated items would be of immense benefit to the children in the facility and assured leadership of the company’s further assistance.

He added: “We believe that the donated items will support the efforts of management and staff in taking care of the children in this facility, and hope that support to persons in need will be more regular going forward.”
Nana Twum, an office clerk who received the donation on behalf of the centre, thanked the leadership and team from Brighter Smile Foundation for their timely support.
“This gesture will help us immensely because we are in need of most of the items that have been presented to us; but we still appeal for more support from you and other charitable groups that may want to come to our aid,” he said.
