Samuel Attah-Mensah, Managing Director of Channel One TV and Citi FM, has paid a glowing tribute to Kwasi Twum, the Chief Executive Officer of Multimedia Group Limited, describing him as a central figure in his personal and professional journey in media leadership.
Speaking reflectively, Mr Attah-Mensah said there is no version of his life story that can be told without acknowledging Kwasi Twum, whom he credited as a major source of motivation, mentorship and leadership inspiration over the past three decades.
“There’s no way I can tell my story without mentioning Kwasi Twum, who has been a major motivation socially and in leadership,” he stated in an interview on Channel One.
According to him, whatever success he has achieved today is not solely the result of personal effort, but also the outcome of intentional investment by mentors who held his hand while he was finding his footing in the industry.
Mr Attah-Mensah disclosed that Kwasi Twum occupies an entire chapter in his upcoming book, underscoring the depth of influence the Multimedia CEO has had on his life.
“There’s no way I’ll tell my story without Kwasi Twum. No chance at all. I have a whole chapter on him in my upcoming book,” he emphasised.
Reflecting on their long association, which spans nearly 30 years, Mr Attah-Mensah said he could vividly recall numerous personal encounters that shaped his growth.
He recounted how Kwasi Twum would personally drop books at his house, encouraging him to read, learn and broaden his intellectual horizon.
“Dropping books off at your house, asking you to read them and a lot more. It was an immersion experience,” he recalled.
“You are translated from one industry into another, but not dumped there. You were drawn in,” he added.
He further highlighted that Kwasi Twum himself was learning the media space at the time, particularly radio, having previously built his career as a merchant dealing in rice, sugar and oil, with shops located in Makola.
Mr Atta-Mensah worked with the Multimedia Group before moving to Citi FM.
