An 18-year-old girl has recounted the terrifying moment three men abducted her for ritual purposes and how she survived the ordeal.
According to her, she was sent by her father to purchase pre-paid units for their electricity at home when it happened.
Narrating the events of that day, she revealed that she was redirected to another Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) prepaid operator after the vendor in her vicinity complained the server had run down.
As she reached the Asante Line, a dusty route to Tafo, where she was headed, she said she walked past three gentlemen.
But, few steps after, one of the gentlemen in a wearing blue top and a pair of trouser came from behind and chloroformed her before his accomplice, dressed in a black and white striped top, carried her into the car.
The third suspect was the driver who was already positioned in the car ready to take-off.
She detailed that hen the man covered her nose with the handkerchief, she became weak and had to carry her into the car. When she came to, she asked them where she was being taken to.
The only reply she got from them was that they were "going to show her something". Thinking they were thieves, she tried to hide my phone and my money, but they told her not to bother as they were not after that.
She continued that she lost consciousness later, only to wake up seated in front of a big woman, believed to be the ritualist.
On how she survived the suspected ritual sacrifice, she added that the said woman ordered them to send her away saying she did not like fair-skinned people.
The victim said the now angry trio drove her back to Asante line where they abducted her and abandoned her by the roadside.
When they got there, they asked her to step out of the car, but I was too weak to do so. So one of them pushed her out of the car and they drove away.
She managed to call her parents who came for her.
Meanwhile, the girl’s superstitious mother told Joy News she was dumbfounded by the incident.
She, however, attributed the survival of her daughter to the fact that she was having her menstruation.
She was grateful to God for the life of her daughter and cautioned all parents to ensure the safety of their children at all times.
