Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos has accepted to come out of international football retirement ahead of Euro 2024.
Kroos retired from international football in 2021 after 11 years of service to the national team.
However, the 34-year-old has decided to rescind his decision after successful talks with national team coach Julian Nagelsmann.
"I'll be playing for Germany again from March. Why? Because I was asked by the coach and I'm up for it," Kroos said in an Instagram post.
"I'm sure that much more is possible with the team at the European Championship than most people think right now."
He is now available for selection for next month's international friendlies against France and the Netherlands.
Kroos is now likely to feature for Germany in this summer’s Euro 2024 on home soil.
Germany will begin their Euro 2024 campaign against Scotland at the Allianz Arena in Munich in the opening match of the tournament on 14 June.
In his first national team stint, Kroos played 106 official matches for Germany.
He was part of the Germany team that reached the semi-final of Euro 2010, Euro 2012, the World Cup 2010 and the World Cup winning team of 2014.
