The Centre for Brand Analysis Ghana (TCBAG), a market research agency has identified and awarded 12 brands in Ghana for making great strides in their approach to business development and brand excellence.
At a ceremony held in Accra last week, tops brands such as Multi TV, Unique Floral, Access Bank, Buena Vista Homes, M & G Pharmaceuticals, Appointed Times Screen Printing, Lizzy Sports Complex, Beige Capital Savings & Loans, Wire Weaving Industries, La Palm Casino, Met Insurance, and First Banc Financial Services were awarded for creating and maintaining the strength of their brands over the years.
According to TCBAG, who are also an authoritative body in brand management research, extensive research conducted into the business operations of the market categories where the brands operate revealed that they were "making it possible to transform and improve their brand presence in competition."
Chairman for the award ceremony, Mr. Kenneth Ashigbey, Managing Director of Graphic Communications, challenged the media brands to recognise strategic and effective leadership as the best option to build and sustain their brands.
Other dignitaries present at the ceremony were Mr. Soumya Saklani, Managing Director, Millward Brown Sub-Saharan Africa, Mr. Eric Affaidu, CEO of the Centre for Brand Analysis Ghana, and Professor Pikay Richardson, from Manchester Business School, UK.
The award, according to TCBAG, is aimed at encouraging businesses to embrace best practices, and also to acknowledge businesses and brands that are being managed well.
