Tuesday January 7, 2025 will go down into the annals history as one of the significant days in Ghana’s history or 'her story'.

This is the day Ghana inducted a female to the highest office of a Vice President. After Professor Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang took her oath of office. I wrote on my WhatsApp status; “I saw this in my lifetime” I was elated about this.

It was a beautiful and colorful ceremony, the Black Stars Square saw a captivating transformation. Following the conversation on Facebook and other platforms the credit for the transformation and stellar production was going to one gentleman with the name Stan Dogbe. Mr. Dogbe, you and your team have done a great job.

If you are an ardent follower of my blog, you know my forte is in fashion. So my piece will focus on the fashion and looks i saw at the event.

My opinion is going to be factual devoid of preferences and straight to the point.

Those who put in the work will get their ccolades and those who decided to make a mess will get it straight and firm.

So let’s dive in:

The former Second Lady, Samira Bawumia is a trend setter and fashionista par excellence. I was expecting a final fashion showdown from her at the inauguration but Auntie didn’t. I didn’t like her outfit. It was so off brand for her.

Hon Zita Benson looking flamboyant in her kente. I love the choice of colour but not the illusion net around her neck area. The designer should have used a colour that blends well with her skin tone. Regardless she looked fab.

Hon. Zanetor Rawlings. To be honest I wasn’t expecting much. Zanetor is not your fashion girl. She’s all about her Tom boy looks. I love her choice of kente. Very regal.

Hon. Adepa Gyekye. I love this on her. Choice of colour is her makeup simple. She ticks all the boxes.

I was telling a friend the other day I miss natural edges. The baby hair pandemic lately is crazy. Ms. Charlene said say no more. I will give natural silver hair edges. I love her elegant outfit. The entire look is 10/10.

Felicity Nelson. Facebeat and outfit is straight to the point with no exaggeration.

Hon. Benita Okity Duah, I wasn’t expecting anything less. She delivered. What do you expect from a fashion designer. She did it.

Our dear VEEP. If I were to be part of the style team we would have made a few adjustments to this look. You it’s okay let me shelve my opinion.

Hon. Dorcas Affo-Toffey. Really came paaa. I like her outfit. The corset was corsetting. She don’t care about the hot weather. You do all.

Mrs. Awuku. Wife of Sammy Awuku. Honorable’s wife ampa. I love this.

This one is restricting airflow oo. Never mind u will be fine. Welcome to Parliament.

Lady Helga. I wanted the full look. But with this Portrait I know it will pick. Kente colour is on point.

Mrs. Dumelo, 85/100 you understood the assignment.

Simply wow 98/100 top pick.

Ms. Olympio. She took the Gey Hey colours and made it her own. Not bad at all.

Ei madam you took it personal. Resetting fashion agenda anaa? I think I like this. Again the illusion net nearly marred the look.

Hot pink on a sunny hot day never hurt anyway. Sister Charlotte “collated “ this look exceptionally leaving no room for re-collation.

Hon. Nana Oye Bampoe she is one of my top pick for best look. Outfit on point with great colour choice. Diana Serwaa did a great job with this piece.

Farida Mahama looking svelte in her outfit. Face card, the entire look, 100%.

Hon. Emelia Arthur. This is stunning. This also made it on my top picks. The blazer is the game changer. Wow I’m sold.

Obuobia Opoku is who she thinks she is. As for OB never to be caught unfresh oo. Rocking her Duaba Serwaa number. I wanted to see a bit of kente littered in her outfit. Nonetheless beautiful. The game changer is her purse. Snake leather Christian Dior bag. OB you do all.

Simplicita

Bridget Bonnie was looking too busy. Were you not feeling hot? Better luck next time.

Yes, you are indeed the daughter in-law of the Vice President. On point.

The great JB herself. You can’t go wrong in a Christie Brown. This look is also one of my top pick.

Newly minted MP for Essikado. The Intelligent Prof. Grace Aba Ayensu. Red looks good on you.

Not this hair madam. A short bob hair would have worked. I know it’s Ghana but the scarf and the kente is making you look busy.

When we say sitting pretty. This is what it means. The kaba is kabaring. Ms. Baeta this your flat tummy must be studied. Please share your exercise regimen with us.

Great job Miss Gorgeous, Mrs. Sam George. This is also on my top pick looks. Love it.

AJ Sarpong… why? No no no. Next time do better.

Not a bad look. The look would have slapped if she kept the black bustier with the kente slit. Then allow the headgear, purse and shoes to give it more life. Regardless it’s a good look.

Oh Kafui Danku, wow, beautiful!

This is different and fresh from all the colours so far. Not a bad look too

Jackie nieee. Love the outfit a bag color choice

Karen Kash… did you have a naming ceremony in the morning before coming to the inauguration or you have it afterwards. Let me understand. Too much happening!

The Law… you do all

Flamboyant and fab

Mrs. Abena Duffuor looking resplendent in her outfit.

Hon. Afenyo Markin looking dignified in his kente. Nice one sir.

Bono Ahafo”s finest. Sammy Gyamfi Esq. looking dapper in his suit.

Thank you ladies for blessing the TL with your looks. Cheers and a happy new year.

Long live our kente cloth!
