Twellium Industrial Company Limited has been adjudged the Ultimate Best Manufacturing Company of the Year at the Ghana Beverage Awards 2025, reinforcing its place as one of Ghana’s most influential players in the fast moving consumer goods sector.
The recognition caps more than a decade of rapid expansion for the company, which was founded in 2013 by Hussein and Hassan Kesserwani.
Twellium has since grown from a small beverage producer into a multisector manufacturer with a portfolio that spans bottled water, soft drinks, energy drinks, biscuits, confectionery and baked goods.
The company’s rise has been anchored by brands that have become household names across Ghana. Verna Mineral Water remains Twellium’s flagship and one of the most visible products in the bottled water market.
Its 'Changing Lives' initiative, which supports healthcare, education and vulnerable communities, has earned Verna several CSR related recognitions and endorsements from institutions including the Ghana Medical Association.
Other Twellium beverages such as Bigoo, American Cola, Planet Drinks, Slemfit Water, Chale Juices, Dr. Malt, Rasta Malt, Run Energy, Xplus Energy and Pippo have built strong consumer followings.
Bigoo, in particular, has expanded its presence with flavours like Cola and Cocktail competing strongly in the carbonated soft drink category.
The company has also pushed into the biscuit and confectionery space with McBerry Biscuits, McBerry Cakes and a growing collection of cookies, establishing itself as a player in Ghana’s bakery sector.
Twellium operates three production facilities in Accra, Kumasi and Bobo Dioulasso equipped with machinery from global manufacturers including Sidel, Krones, GEA, Tonelli, Imaforni and Tetra Pak.
Its plants are certified under ISO 9001:2015, HACCP and Halal, and are approved by the FDA and the Ghana Standards Authority.
Alongside manufacturing, Twellium has invested in social initiatives focused on youth empowerment, community support and sustainability.
These efforts, together with the company’s expanding range of products and growing regional footprint, have contributed to its position in the industry and shaped its public profile.
Winning the Ultimate Best Manufacturing Company of the Year at the Ghana Beverage Awards 2025 marks another milestone in Twellium’s growth journey.
The company says it intends to build on the recognition as it strengthens its operations in Ghana and explores wider opportunities across West Africa.
