Two of four policemen who allegedly robbed a foreign national are due for court Monday, charged with robbery.
The remaining two are being hunted by the police.
Police Public Affairs Director, DSP Kwesi Ofori confirmed the arrest of the two police officers to Joy FM’s Super Morning Show host Kojo Oppong-Nkrumah.
They were arrested around the Hotel Kumbaya near Peace FM in Accra, he said.
DSP Kwesi Ofori maintained the police administration was determined to purge the service of miscreants whose conduct dented its image.
“Criminals have no future in the police service,” he asserted.
He however will not give any further details about the victim of the alleged robbery, insisting there was the need to respect the privacy of the man who has been described as an investor.
It is unclear what the value of the items the victim was robbed of is.
