Students of University of Cape Coast would not be allowed to wander from one Hall of residence to another as they return to campus on Monday.
Major Kofi Baah-Bentum (Rtd) the Director of Public Affairs of UCC says as finalists return to campus to complete the semester and take their exit exams, movement from one Hall to the other would only be allowed if there is a pressing need to do so.
This, he told JoyNews’ Richard Kwadwo Nyarko, is aimed at preventing a potential spread or outbreak of Covid-19 on the campus.
Mass gatherings would also not be permitted with religious gatherings not excluded despite President Akufo-Addo easing restrictions on same at the national level.
Baah-Bentum added large lecture halls will be used to ensure proper social distancing.
The government has also contracted Zoomlion to fumigate the campus, like other school campuses across the country, Kwadwo Nyarko reported.
