We stand in solidarity with the oppressed and we stand in readiness to confront & defeat bigotry.
His comments come on the back of an increased military presence in the Volta Region ahead of the New Voters’ Registration exercise to be conducted by the Electoral Commission.
The Chief Executive for the Ketu South Municipality Elliot Agbenorwu has indicated intensified security presence along the Ghana-Togo border is to help enforce the President’s directive on the closure of the country’s borders, following the emergence of the coronavirus in Ghana.
He said intelligence gathered indicates that some unscrupulous individuals continue to aid people into the country through unapproved routes, hence, the need for reinforced security presence along the borders.
However, according to the NDC, the heavy military presence in the Ketu South District especially was an act of intimidation to prevent the people there from registering for the new voters’ register thus the Minority had called for the withdrawal of the security personnel.
Some residents had earlier alleged that the security officials have deviated from their mission objective, protecting the borders to intimidating and physically abusing them.
As they antagonize the Volta Region and engage in incessant needless provocations, let us shower all regions with our love and respect as we prove to all why the NDC is the only political party with Members of Parliament from all the 16 regions of Ghana.#LoveConquersHate

To this end, the Minority Spokesperson on Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa stated in an earlier tweet that as “they antagonize the Volta Region and engage in incessant needless provocations, let us shower all regions with our love and respect as we prove to all why the NDC is the only political party with Members of Parliament from all the 16 regions of Ghana.”
