Unicom Chemist Limited, one of Ghana’s leading pharmaceutical firms has launched new healthcare products produced by TENA for patients with bladder weakness in Accra.TENA, specialized, in urinary incontinence and bladder weakness offers advanced solutions, support and advice for millions of people worldwide.The products include TENA pads, panty liners and adult diapers for patients with all forms of bladder weakness.Speaking at the launch, the Training and Brands Manager of TENA Donna Wilson said their range of products focus on improving the quality of life for patients, lowering care workloads, and easing the strain on budgets.What distinguishes TENA products from others in the Ghanaian market, according to Wilson, is that it is more absorbent, thin, soft, comfortable and disposable.Donna Wilson underscored the need for people with bladder weakness to make their condition public to ensure the right product is given them.Commenting on the TENA men level one, two and four, Donna Wilson said the products are specifically designed for men with prostate problems.She indicated that the men protective underwear is shaped to fit the male anatomy, highly absorbent with a unique odour control system which neutralizes potential odour for complete confidence.Donna Wilson was optimist the product will do very well on the Ghanaian market.On her part, Mrs. Czarina Reberio a matron at Nyaho Medical Centre vouched for the authenticity of TENA products.She said her family benefited a lot when her father who suffered a stroke was introduced to the product three years ago."For three years we had no problems changing my father who was bed ridden due to stroke. All the bed sores were gone because the product kept him dry at all times".Mrs. Czarina Reberio expressed joy at the introduction of TENA in Ghana and urged everyone to purchase it.Meanwhile, the Marketing Manager of Unicom Faisal Bella said they do not compromise on quality thus their partnership with TENA.Faisal Bella assured customers of constant supply of the products nationwide to serve it intended purpose.Present at the launch were pharmacists and nurses from both private and public health centres and pharmacies across the country.They were taken through training on how to efficiently use the product in their various institutions.
