A musician, nicknamed Daddy Lumba Jnr., strongly believes that veteran highlife musician Daddy Lumba is his father.
According to Kwame Anokye, who bears a striking resemblance with the veteran highlife sensation, it couldn't be mere coincidence that he resembles and behaves like Daddy Lumba.
The 32-year-old musician, therefore, wants a DNA test to ascertain if Daddy Lumba is his father.
Daddy Lumba Jnr., revealed in an interview with Deloris Frimpong Manson on the Delay Show that even his ‘real’ dad alleges that his mum, who passed away when he was seven years, may have had an affair with Daddy Lumba.
Kwame Anokye said his dad consistently complains that he does not know why he did not take after him but rather looks and behaves like Daddy Lumba, born Charles Kwadwo Fosu.
The musician dismisses suggestions that he may be simply obsessed with the ‘Aben Wo Ha’ hit singer.
To Daddy Lumba Jnr, the veteran musician is a god whom he worships and believes that God chose Daddy Lumba for him as a father.
The musician, who says he has been possessed by a ‘Daddy Lumba spirit’ and therefore behaves like him, disclosed that he sometimes dreams about Daddy Lumba’s songs before they are released.
Asked if he has met the veteran musician before, Kwame Anokye said he first met him in 1998 and recalled that the highlife great gave him 2000 old cedis (20p now). He has also performed with him before.
