A new initiative to preserve the virginity of young rural girls has been launched at Keta in the Keta Municipality of the Volta Region.
The project championed by the Grace Amey- Obeng Foundation international [GAOFI] is dubbed the Tutsi project.
The launch saw 140 school children from 14 schools with the Keta Municipal Chief Executive Mr Sylvester Tornyeavah, traditional rulers, government officials , parents, and teachers all attending.
The Tutsi Project, according to the PRO of GAOFI Joseph Kofi Amoah will help equip rural school girls with Vocational and entrepreneurial skills to economically empower them and prevent them from resorting to sex as a source of livelihood.
