The Black Stars are camping in Paris without Asamoah Gyan and John Pantsil ahead of the scheduled friendly with Gabon next week.
The two are having visa problems with the French Embassy and have been unable to make it to the teams’ two training sessions. Officials are still working to get them in time for Tuesday’s game.
Ghana were scheduled to play Sierra Leone today but that game was cancelled due to reported financial constraints from the match agents. It means the Black Stars players will have flown from around the world for five training sessions, some rest and a kick about with Gabon.
The team huddled together at their hotel and watched Senegal thrash Guinea 4-1 in a friendly played not far from them at the Mantes-la-Ville, on the outskirts of Paris. Guinea are in Ghana's group at the next African Cup while Senegal are potential opponents.
Goran Stevanovic named new faces for this game in order to strengthen his options in several positions. Derek Asamoah of Pohang Steelers in Korea was recalled to the side after a three-year hiatus. Ghana premier league side Dwarfs had their centre-back Rashid Sumaila called up while Charles Takyi and Jeffery Schlupp may also get game time. The latter two were also eligible to play for Germany.
