Information available to Joy News indicates that Volta Regional Minister, Henry Ford Kamel has passed away.
Mr Kamel, who is also the Member of Parliament for the Buem Constituency in Jasikan district of the Volta Region died on Tuesday.
Family sources say he passed on at the Jasikan Hospital.
Henry Ford Kamel was born on December 21,1961 and came from Guaman in the Volta Region.
The late Minister had been a Member of Parliament since January 2005. He was re-elected to represent the people of Buem in the December 7, 2012 parliamentary election.
Ivy Setordzi of Victory FM told Joy News information she gathered from close associates of Mr Kamal say he died in the early hours of today few hours after he had collapsed.
She learnt that body has been flown by helicopter to the 37- Military Hospital Morgue in Accra.
He was survived by a wife and three children. He was an economist and banker by profession.
Mr Ford Kamel was a former deputy Minister for Lands and Natural resources during the Mills administration. He was later re-assigned the role of Volta regional Minister after a reshuffle.
