A group of selected journalists, whistle-blowers, and activists from Ghana, Burkina Faso, Niger, Mali, Liberia, and Guinea have undergone comprehensive safety and medical training delivered by Lazarus Training, a UK-based organisation specialising in safety and first aid education.
The training was designed to equip participants with the essential skills and knowledge needed to protect themselves in high-risk and insecure environments.

The beneficiaries, who are supported by the Whistle-blowers, Activists, and Journalists Safety International Centre (WAJSIC) in Ghana, include several whistle-blowers and human rights activists in addition to journalists.
The four-day programme featured both theoretical and practical components, offering intensive, hands-on training that will prove highly relevant to the participants' work in volatile regions.

Participants expressed their satisfaction with the training, emphasising its practical value and the positive impact it is expected to have on their safety and professional preparedness.
