A suicide prevention organisation, Weinglo Family International (WFI) has commemorated World Menstrual Hygiene Day by donating sanitary pads to students of Adoagyiri Girls Catholic School in the Eastern Region.
The group also took the opportunity to educate the young ladies on how to manage their period and handle themselves during that time of the month.

Engaging further with the students, the group also enlightened them on suicide prevention and the benefits of sound mental health for an adolescent.

The Organisation also donated some of the pads to the Nsawam Female Prison.

Speaking in an interview, the Founder and Chief Executive of WFI expressed her sincere gratitude to supporters who donated massively to ensure the actualization of the project.

She also called for more education for young girls particularly, those in the rural areas since the myths surrounding menstruation still persists.
