Division One league campaigners, Yegoala FC has signed a GH¢20,000 per season sponsorship deal with Radico Khaitan Ltd.Radico, marketers of the 8pm Whisky and other alcoholic beverages in about 30 countries across the globe.Vinod Kumar Srivastav, Senior Manager, International Sales of Radico, says the company’s involvement in grassroots football development is to support Ghana’s quest to produce world class footballers from the remote parts of the country.He says the decision to sponsor the Kumasi-based club is based on the foresight of the Club’s management to spot and groom soccer talent.Yegoala FC is the first Division One team in Ghana to attract sponsorship deal from a multinational company.Mr. Srivastav looks forward to a growth in the relationship between the two parties.He is hopeful the deal will set the pace for other corporate institutions to sponsor first and second division teams.Bankroller of Yegoala FC, Tony Yeboah thanked Radico for the confidence to support the team and pledged the club’s commitment to help the company increase its mileage.The deal-signing ceremony took place at the Yegoala Hotel in Kumasi.
