The Member of Parliament for the Effiduase-Asokore Constituency in the Ashanti Region has commended health practitioners in the Sekyere East district for working relentlessly towards enhancing health delivery despite limited resources.
According to Dr. Nana Ayew Afriyie, the health team has worked relentlessly by ensuring that the health system is well streamlined to serve the growing population across the district.
Dr. Afriyie was speaking at an award ceremony organized at the Sekyere East District to honour some health personnel for their hard work and dedication to the sector.

He believes the initiative was necessary to encourage health workers to continue to work assiduously towards improving good quality healthcare delivery.
Dr. Afriyie also expresses happiness after a nurse from his district emerged as the best health worker in both Ashanti Region and the nation at large.

The Sekyere East District Director of Health Dr. Justice Amoah indicates that the awards ceremony was also to award deserving health workers to improve efficiency to the betterment of the people of Sekyere East.
He says the District does not have a lot but the support from stakeholders and other individuals helped enormously in awarding the health workers.

Dr. Amoah urges the people of Sekyere East to continue to support the health personnel to ensure effective health delivery.
Twelve workers were awarded for their outstanding performance in the district.Â
A midwife, Wisdom Oware emerges as the overall best worker.
