Eleven persons were killed in a road crash early Saturday on the Accra Winneba road, when a 207 Mercedes Benz on which they were travelling, was involved in a head-on collision with a tipper truck.
Only Six persons including an Eight year old boy survived, according to a witness’ account.
Central Region Commander of Motor Traffic Transport Unit of the Ghana Police Service, ASP John Paul confirmed the report to Joy News.
He said the bus was overtaking another vehicle and crashed into the truck loaded with sand, causing the truck to fall on the 207 bus killing the eleven passengers on board.
ASP John Paul said the corpses have been deposited at the Winneba Government Hospital.
