The 2022 edition of the Joynews-Ecobank Habitat Fair has been launched at a beautiful ceremony at the Ecobank Head Office in Accra.
This year's event which is the 13th edition since its inception is on the theme; “Home ownership: Where you live matters.”
The event which has been described by many prospective house owners as the biggest housing and construction exhibition in the country, has over the years attracted huge patronage from dignitaries and exhibitors who showcase a wide range of building materials and housing accessories.

More importantly, the various partners including Ecobank Ghana, DBS Roofing, Plan City Extension have made available provisions for Ghanaians to acquire their own houses with ease.

For instance, Title Sponsor Ecobank Ghana has a comprehensive mortgage financing with competitive interest rates for all class of income earners, whilst DBS use the latest technology to manufacture roofing sheets, amongst others.

Speaking at the launch, Managing Director of Ecobank Ghana PLC, Daniel Sackey said while housing is a basic requirement, there is an enormous gap between what is needed and what is available within Ghana.
“We need to be just as cautious about our housing selections as we are about everything else, and the time to start is right now”, he said.

Meanwhile, Head of Sales and Marketing at Multimedia Ghana Limited, Max Fugar, has entreated potential home owners to take advantage of this year's event.
“This is the best event for young people to help address the housing deficit, When it comes to homeownership a lot of things comes to play”, he noted.
Prior to the main fair, there will be two mini-clinics;
1. Achimota Retail Centre – 22nd-24th July,2022
2. West Hills Mall – 5th-7th August 2022
The main event will be held at the Accra international Conference Centre from the 24th to the 28th August, 2022.
