The 1999 Year Group of Saint Martin de Porres School (SMOPA 1999) has donated first aid kits to their alma mater.
The donation forms part of activities to mark the group’s 20th anniversary since they completed the school.
The 14 first aid kits were fixed on all 14 school blocks to complement healthcare delivery in the school. The boxes were presented by Bismark Osibeng and Pearl Darkey on behalf of the SMOPA 99 year group.
Their former teachers, Mr. Odija and Mr. Grant aided in pushing the group to come together for this great caus
Mr. Osibeng said the donation is to enable the school to provide first aid care in case of emergency.
“One thing we were taught, is to be charitable and as a year group, we decided to show our love,” he added.
Mr. Osibeng said they are committed to restocking the first aid kits periodically.
Receiving the donation, Director of St. Martin de Porres School, William Laast, said it is heartwarming the donation has come at the right time for use by students.
He commended the old students association for their continuous support to the school.
“When it comes to SMOPA, all have been amazing; we appreciate all the love and effort you have shown,” he stated.
Mr. Laast said the kits donated by the SMOPA 1999 will help in providing effective first aid for students.
