The 2012 edition of the Indomie Community Dunks was launched in Accra on Thursday July 19 to usher in a new and exciting package for this year.
The well-attended event attracted organizers, sponsors, journalists and coaches at the Aviation Social Centre in Accra.
Officials of Multi-Pro Private Ghana Limited (distributors of Indomie Instant Noodles) including its Marketing Manager Manish Goyal, Chief Executive Officer of Rite Multimedia, Yaw Sakyi Afari and the Chairman of the Greater Accra Basketball Association, Benjamin Baafi graced the occasion
.
The Greater Accra basketball chief, who launched the 2012 event, commended the organizers and the sponsors for their continuous support in the development and promotion of the game in Ghana.
He appealed to the government for financial support to help put up at least one ultra-modern basketball court in the country.
Manish Goyal, praised the organizers, the GBBA and promised his outfit’s commitment in supporting the growth of the game and gave hope to mushrooming talents.
“Today we are all living testimonies of how the dwindling fortunes of the sport has been transformed drastically and now basketball is considered as Ghana’s second most preferred sport,” he told JOY Sports.
