Exclusive Events Ghana, franchise holders and organizers of the 2012 Miss Ghana have announced venues and audition dates for this year’s edition of the country’s most prestigious beauty pageant.
Organizers said in a statement that auditions will be held in three key belts across the country namely the Northern, Middle and Southern belts.
The Northern belt will be made up of the Northern Region, Upper West and Upper East regions while the Middle belt will comprise the Ashanti, Brong Ahafo and Eastern regions. Greater Accra, Volta, Western and Central regions make up the Southern belt.
According to the statement, auditions for the Northern belt will be held at the Picorna Hotel in Tamale on July 10 while that of the Middle and Southern Belts will be held on July 17 and July 24 at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Kumasi and Accra respectively.
30 finalists, 10 from each zone, will be carefully selected by professional judges, who will take into consideration several factors including poise, elegance, eloquence, intelligence, beauty with a purpose and direction.
In all, 20 finalists will be selected for the national finals, which would take place in Accra weeks after the auditions.
Before the finale, the 20 will be properly groomed in an exciting reality show that would be shown on national television. There will, however, be no weekly evictions.
For the first time in the 55-year history of the pageant, the winner and and first and second runners-up will all be presented with brand new saloon cars. The winner will walk away with her car while the two runners up will first use their cars in official capacities for a year before they assume ownership of them.
