Following his win at the BET Hip Hop awards ceremony in 2019, Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie presented an award in the 2020 instalment of the event.
The 'Lucky' hitmaker presented the coveted Best International Flow award - the award he took home last year - to UK rapper Stormzy.
The ‘Heavy is the Head’ rapper was competing against Meryl and Kaaris both from France, South Africa’s Nasty C, Khaligraph Jones from Kenya, also from the UK Ms Banks and Brazil’s Djonga.
“For the second time in a row, BET recognises MCs from around the world who have achieved excellence in their craft using wordplay, sharp delivery, melody and cadence to connect listeners to their story,” Sarkodie had said in a speech before announcing the winner.
He congratulated Stormzy for winning the awards saying, "I am super proud of you. You definitely deserve this one."
The UK rapper was also elated to have won the Bet International Flow award.
"I am grateful. I feel blessed. I feel honoured," Stormzy stated.
Because of Covid-19 restrictions, Sarkodie’s presentation and Stormzy's acceptance speech was pre-recorded - like many others, they could not make it to the show.
The 15th annual BET Hip Hop awards was broadcasted virtually on Tuesday, October 27.
