Link roads more often than not, serve as alternative routes or entry points for most residential areas.
But how would you feel if your link road turns out to be a death trap which becomes completely un-motorable when it rains?
Residents of Ofankor in the Trobu Constituency of the Greater Accra region have been plagued with such roads.
The GHc137.2 million Achimota-Ofankor road is by far the biggest project to have been solely undertaken by the government of Ghana and forms part of the road sector development project.
Connecting from the Ofankor roundabout to the Asofa, 7 days or the main Ofankor barrier townships, the old adage not all that glitters is gold comes alive.
Almost every link road is bumpy. Uncompleted open drains are scatted all over the community.
But of all the drains, the one close to the Asofa taxi rank is considered the most dangerous.
With iron rods dangerously exposed and just a wooden slap serving as a bridge, both the young and old are at risk of serious injury should they lose their balance in an attempt cross the drainage.
