The Junction Mall on Monday night - Christmas Eve - was once again the venue for Hitz FM’s mega music bash, the ‘Turn Up Party’.
The concert has become an annual ritual with thousands constantly thronging the Junction Mall to be a part of the Christmas Eve jam.
Aside from the event being used to crown the winner of Hitz FM’s Hottest DJ, ‘Turn Up Party’ has over the years seen some of the country’s biggest music acts thrill patrons.
This year was no different. Lynx Entertainment’s dynamic acts Kuami Eugene and Kidi held the mantle in the most magnificent way.
The two did not fail to deliver! They were simply on point dishing out back to back hit songs from their impressive repertoire.
Kuami Eugene performed well-known songs like, ‘Wish Me Well’, ‘Walaahi’, ‘Confusion’, ‘Never Carry Last’, ‘Angela’ and the list goes on.
Kidi also did justice when he took his turn on stage. He was ushered onto the stage with his ‘Odo’ smash hit and patrons went crazy.
He also performed other songs like Adiepena and Thunder to the delight of the thousands at the venue.
During the finale of the Hottest DJ competition, 15-year-old DJ C-Meller beat DJ Diawara (first runner-up) and DJ Seydyva (second runner-up) to emerge the winner.
For his prize, DJ C-Meller received a MacBook, an all-expenses-paid trip to South Africa, work with Hitz FM for six months, Beats by Dre headset and other consolation rewards.
