The Indian High Commission in Accra on Wednesday announced that it would celebrate the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) Day on November 28.
A statement from the High Commission said the Minister of Defence, Mr Albert Kan-Dapaah would be the guest speaker.
Indian Ministry of External Affairs launched the ITEC programme in 1964.
It said under ITEC and its related programme, the Special Commonwealth Assistance for Africa Programme, India had extended technical assistance in various sectors to a large number of people from 156 countries in Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe and Latin America.
The Ministry of External Affairs meets the entire expenditure for these courses.
The statement said over 800 participants from Ghana had benefited from ITEC/SCAAP courses since its inception adding that this year participants from Ghana were expected to utilize all the 70 slots earmarked for Ghana.
