Head of political desk at TV3, Edward Kwabi Jnr has died.
A source close to his family said Mr. Kwabi passed late on Monday night.
The journalist is reported to have been unwell since being involved in an accident in 2015 with the Presidential Press Corps.
Edward was part of the crew of reporters who got involved in an accident near Tema while covering then-President John Mahama.
He spent several months in the hospital seeking treatment.
His colleagues say, in Edward’s most recent work, he was not allowed to do any rigorous duty. He was a producer.
Some of his former colleagues have taken to social media to mourn his passing.
Edward was a Jubilee House correspondent during the Mahama administration and Secretary of the presidential press corps.
He is an alumnus of the Ghana Institute of Journalism and joined Media General in 2009.
He is survived by a wife and two daughters.
