Former Black Maidens coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani, says Ghana can make it beyond the group stage of the 2014 World Cup Women's U.17 World Cup despite being with tough opponents.

The Black Maidens are drawn against North Korea, Germany and Canada in Group B and many pundits have described the group as one of the toughest ahead of the 2014 World Cup in Costa Rica.

But Dramani, who engineered the Ghana U.17 female team to Bronze medal in the 2012 edition of the World Cup, has assured Ghanaians that the ladies will put up another great campaign.

"It is a very tough group. But in football anything can happen. We did it in Azerbaijan last year and I believe this team can do it again. We need to prepare and train hard for the tournament and I believe we will shock everyone. Germany and North Korea are a very good side but we can match them and qualify from the group," the Asante Kotoko coach said on Asempa FM's Ultimate Sports.

Ghana Stars who will begin their group game against North Korea on 15 March at Estadio Edgardo Baltodano Briceño in Liberia, Costa Rica.

The Black Maidens placed third in the 2012 FIFA Women's U.17 World Cup in Azerbaijan.
