Manchester United are eyeing a potential move for Real Valladolid defender Mohammed Salisu ahead of the January transfer window, according to multiple reports.
The 20-year-old has impressed for the La Liga side this term, featuring in all 14 league games since the campaign started.
Moreover, the player’s contract expires in 2020 and contains a release clause of just £10m.
According to El Diario de Valladolid, United have taken a shine to the youngster and are interested in activating his release clause when the January window opens.
Interestingly, Salisu’s agent is also the father of Juan Mata, which perhaps puts United ahead in the race to sign him.
Everton, Newcastle, Southampton and Norwich City are all said to have expressed an interest in the defender as well.
