Ghana’s international female act, Wiyaala, has been crowned the Artiste of the Year at the 2019 edition of the Ghana Arts and Culture Awards.The acting President of the Musicians Union of Ghana, Bessa Simons, presented to the singer at the event which took place at the Accra International Conference Centre on December 7.

Ghana Arts and Culture Awards which was launched in September 2019 seeks to honour individuals and brands who have made significant contributions to the Arts and Culture Industry in Ghana.CEO of Azmera Restaurant, a Ghanaian catering facility that specialises in serving Ghanaian dishes, Ms Afua Krobea Asante, won the Cultural Heritage Entrepreneur.
Afrochella, a music festival organised in December won the Festival Event of the Year.
Winning the Ghanaian Visual Artist of the Year was artiste Julian Selby.
Bello Couture GH also won the Ghanaian Fashion Designer of the year.
