Black Stars striker Kwabena Owusu has joined Azerbaijani top-flight side QarabaÄŸ FK from Spanish second-tier club Córdoba CF.
Owusu has signed a three and half year contract with QarabaÄŸ. His parent club Leganes agreed to the terms before he completed the move on Thursday night.
"I am happy to come to QarabaÄŸ. I wanted to play in a club that represents both the Champions League and the Europa League,” Owusu told the club's website.
"I hope everything will be good for me. I understand that I have come to Azerbaijan for six consecutive championships and my fans are expecting more goals from me. I will do my best.”
He scored six goals in 17 appearances for Córdoba CF this season.
The 22-year-old has played three matches for the Black Stars since his debut in 2019.
