The Zulu people of the Bantu ethnic group of Southern Africa who populate mainly the province of KwaZulu-Natal are noted for their colourful traditions.
They are the largest ethnic group in South Africa with an estimated population of about 11 million.
The Zulu people are known for their several unique traditions including their dance, songs, marriage rites and most of all their beautiful women.
Myjoyonline.com captured an exclusive performance of a traditional Zulu marriage at the PheZulu Safari Park.
The PheZulu Safari Park, situated in Botha's Hill at the outskirts of Durban, KwaZulu-Natal of South Africa, is without a doubt a-must-visit-spot in South Africa.
The park is a pure haven for a rare safari ride, where one gets the opportunity to get up-close with several animals including giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and impalas. The park also offers an educational tour of crocodiles, turtles, snakes and other wild reptiles.
The most important part of a trip to the PheZulu Safari Park is a performance of a traditional Zulu marriage by the world famous Gasa clan. The three-day wedding involves several activities including the groom, presenting the bride price - Lobola - of eleven cows to his bride's parents.
A dance is performed in front of their traditional beehive shaped thatched huts overlooking the Valley of a 1000 Hills.
