Members of the Eastern Regional Zongo Caucus of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has appealed to Alhaji Said Sinare, National Vice-Chairman of the party to rescind his decision to resign from the party.
The group appealed to Alhaji Sinare to consider the party’s interest first when taking any decision.
Alhaji Sumani Mahama, Deputy Regional Organizer, speaking to the Ghana News Agency in Koforidua on behalf of the group urged Alhaji Sinare to find amicable ways of resolving differences between him and any member of the party.
He said the group had confidence in Alhaji Sinare and urged him to give his decision a second thought.
Alhaji Mahama said Alhaji Sinare could use his position to help build a united NDC that would win the December elections.
He appealed to Alhaji Sinare to help mobilize more members of the Zongo community to vote for the party so as to win the December elections.
He said a victory by the NDC would bring happiness and joy to every home in all Zongo communities in the country.
The NDC National Vice-Chairman resigned early this week from the party refusing to disclose his reasons for the decision.
He however said those who want to know why he resigned should ask Mr. Kwesi Ahwoi, also a leading member of the party.
