Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom, the presidential candidate of the Convention People’s Party in the just ended December general election says the time has come for the newly elected President John Atta Mills to deliver on his numerous campaign promises.
“The new President now has to deliver on his campaign promises to meet the expectation of the people.” Dr. Nduom said in an interview with Joy News after President John Evans Atta Mills was officially sworn into office at the Independence Square in Accra.
Dr. Nduom was full of praise for the activities that marked the swearing in ceremony which he said were ample evidence of the cry for change Ghanaians have yearned for.
He said the ceremony “restored the feelings and expectations of people in Ghana.”
Dr. Nduom lauded Prof. Mills’ clarion call for an all inclusive government, something he (Dr. Nduom) had always referred to, during his campaign for the position of the president.
His admiration for the ceremony notwithstanding, Dr. Nduom believed a lot more could have been done in the area of uniting all political shades in the country.
“The flag-bearers of all the political parties, former ministers and MPs should have been given prominence,” Dr. Nduom said, adding it was an event to bring all shades of opinions.
