Renowned audit, advisory and tax services provider, PricewaterhouseCoopers, has been made Transaction Advisor for the transfer of government's interest in Ghana Gas to the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC).
While presenting the 2015 Budget, Finance Minister, Seth Terkper, announced the transfer of Ghana National Gas Company (GNGC) shares to GNPC is aimed at consolidating the upstream and midstream gas subsector under a single institution.
This, government hopes, would ensure efficiency, increased value creation and sustainable national development outcomes.
A statement signed by the Finance Minister said PricewaterhouseCoopers would also be assisting GNPC with successful and effective integration of GNGC.
PricewaterhouseCoopers' appointment takes effect immediately, Seth Terkper's statement said.
