The Managing Editor of the New Crusading Guide Newspaper, Mr Kwaku Baako has expressed his disagreement with the Committee for Joint Action (CJA) on the call for the review of Ghana Telecom-Vodafone (GT-Vodafone) deal.
Speaking on Peace FM’s “Kokrokoo” Morning Show, Mr Baaku said “there was nothing wrong with Vodafone’s deal with the government in the first place.”
He said he sees no need for the review. According to him, the CJA and President Mills are confused because they were protesting against the deal without knowing what the deal was meant to achieve.
Mr Baako described the GT-Vodafone deal as good and transparent and advised the CJA to save its Energy for something better. He said President Mills’ protest against the GT-Vodafone deal during his campaign tour was a political strategy to win public sympathy or votes, so the CJA should not allow itself to be deceived. He added that as for him, he is against their call for the review of GT-Vodafone Deal.
