President John Evans Atta Mills has nominated additional 10 Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives for confirmation by their respective assemblies and subsequent appointment.This is by virtue of section 243(1) of the Local Government Act, 1993, Act 462, according to a press release issued in Accra on Friday and signed by Mr Joseph Yieleh Chireh, Minister of Local Government and Rural Development.The nominees for Central Region are; Effutu Municipal, Nii Ephraim; Agona West, Obeng Forson; KEEA, Veronica Essuman Nelson.In the Volta Region - South Tongu, Daniel Ametorku; Ketu North, Heston Moses Azaglo and Ketu South, Bernard Frank Amarble.Ashanti Region - Afigya Kwabre, Oppong Kyekyeku Kaakyire; Northern Region—Karaga, Abdulai Mahammmed Sandow; Western Region – Jomoro, Victor Nyianyi Kablah and Brong Ahafo Region - Nkoranza South, Emmanual Kwadwo Agyekum.Source: GNA
