Former President John Agyekum Kufuor left Accra on Monday night to Lilongwe, Malawi, to monitoring the country's general elections slated for May 19.Mr Frank Agyekum, spokesperson for the ex-President, told the Ghana News Agency the visit is at the invitation of the Commonwealth.He said former President Kufuor was leading a seven-member delegation of the Commonwealth for the monitoring exercise. Ex-President Kufuor would return to Ghana on May 25, 2009.Early this year, the former President led an African Union delegation to Malawi to observe the political situation in the country.Source: GNA
