Do we have a national development plan? Do we even need one?
Can we talk about developmental issues without it denigrating into he-said-she-said politics? I get the feeling that we miss out of key opportunities to solve some of our national problems because we’re watching the political ping pong game.
The fact that we don’t have a set national development policy makes it that much harder.
The Constitution says every government needs to make a national developmental plan within two years of assuming office. This probably explains why every successive government discontinues previous projects and starts their own.
I think we should have one long term all inclusive plan. Who knows, maybe that way we might actually see an end to all the evils plaguing our land.
