The Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) says it has not tested and approved any drug, herbal medicine or food supplement for the treatment of COVID- 19.
According to the FDA, clinical trials are ongoing on some products, and it would communicate the information on any product, which would be approved.

The FDA reiterated its advice to the public not to use any alcoholic beverage as hand sanitizer because it would not protect them against the novel coronavirus.
Ghana has since Thursday, March 12, confirmed 11 COVID-19 cases.
