The University of Cape Coast has made arrangements for its students to continue their academic work even as they stay home.
The measures, according to the university, follow the closure of universities as a result of COVID-19 pandemic.
In a statement signed by the Vice Chancellor of the University of Cape Coast, Prof. Joseph Ghartey-Ampiah, says initiative followed a directive from the government of Ghana through the Ministry of Education and the National Council for Tertiary Education to Vice Chancellors Ghana to ensure that all students, while at home, are actively engaged online for continuing academic work.
“In furtherance of this directive, steps have been taken by the University of Cape Coast all students onto the UCC Moodle Platform,” the statement revealed.
As a result, the university has entreated its teaching staff to upload all their courses and course materials (course outlines, lecture notes/ PowerPoint presentations, recommended reading books and journals) for the second semester 2019/2020 academic year on the Moodle Platform by April 8, 2020, to enable students access them for their continuing academic work.
