The Techiman North District has received items worth GH¢75,000 from the Kingdom Exim Ghana Limited.
The donation which was done on Monday, April 06, forms part of efforts being adopted to support government in the fight against the spread of Covid-19 pandemic in the Techiman North District.
The items included Veronica buckets, boxes of face masks, alcohol-based hand sanitisers and liquid soaps.
Presenting the items to the Assembly for distribution, the Techiman Branch Manger of Kingdom Exim Ghana Limited, Mr. A. Sanjay said the gesture is to complement government’s effort as the pandemic continues.

On behalf of the District Assembly, the Techiman North District Chief Executive, Peter Mensah, thanked the management of the company, while calling for more support for the district.
Following measures for enhanced contact tracing and testing, Ghana has detected an increased number of confirmed Covid-19 cases.

As of April 7, 2020, a total of 287 cases of Covid-19 with five deaths have been recorded.
The regional distribution of the cases shows that Greater Accra Region is leading with 258 confirmed cases, followed by the Ashanti Region with 18, Northern Region with 10, Upper West Region with 1, Eastern Region with 1 and Upper East Region also with 1 confirmed case.
