Deputy Minister for Trade and Industry, Robert Ahomka-Lindsay, has donated medical equipment and supplies to Kumawu District Health Directorate in Ashanti Region.
The package worth GHS3 million is to enable fourteen different health facilities in the district to combat the coronavirus pandemic and also to enhance routine healthcare services.
The donation includes drugs, Veronica Buckets, hand sanitizers, three incubators, delivery beds and wheelchairs.

Mr Ahomka-Lindsay said it should be every Ghanaian's commitment to improving the country's healthcare delivery during and after the Covid-19.
He stressed the need for everyone to observe social distancing and lockdown protocols by the government.
District Health Director of Health, Lawrence Adenku, described the Deputy Minister’s intervention as timely, especially, as the region’s confirmed cases rise.
"It is a sign of motivation. We will do more to save lives," he promised.
District Chief Executive, Samuel Addai Agyekum, Mr. Ahomka-Lindsay and other donors for continued support for the district.
In 2019, the Ahomka Foundation supported 200 hole-in-hearts patients to undergo various forms of surgery while physically challenged persons received mobility carts.
