The nurses and doctors at the Greater Accra Regional Hospital (Ridge Hospital) , who came into contact with the late father of musician, Obour, have tested negative for coronavirus.
The management of the hospital made the announcement in release Tuesday, April 14, 2020, after the staff members were quarantined for two weeks and got tested.
These staff members include seven nurses, three doctors and an IT Staff.
The hospital also shut down its emergency ward after the father of the former president of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) passed away from the virus.
“The above category of workers were quarantined because they had contact with the deceased when he was accidentally admitted and briefly managed at the emergency ward,” the hospital management wrote in the release.

This news comes barely a week after some 33 other people, including family members of Nana Osei Kuffour, also tested negative for the virus.
These people's tests became necessary after the hospital announced Obour's father had passed away after contracting the coronavirus.
Meanwhile, Obour does not believe his father passed away from the Covid-19 stating that “everything came fast for me.”
At the one-week observation of his father’s death, he added, he had watched his father eat heartily in the afternoon only to be told he had passed away less than two hours later.

The family on the basis of their suspicions have requested the hospital does an autopsy to disclose what exactly killed Nana Osei Kuffour.
